Tomorrow is the last day of work for The Wife and myself until August 13th... and we're ready for it. The Kid will be joining us for the week that will include a birthday party, at least one trip to the swimming pool, some sort of clown show, a trip to the zoo and/or a trip to a local "farmstead" that is sort of like a petting zoo. And all the while, we're going to squeeze in some play therapy for Leonard and Penny, some visits with their parents, and Penny's very first dentist appointment. So... vacation... not really the word for it. But it will be a welcome break from work that we haven't had in a long time.
Not much to report with the little kids today. After a fairly big cry fest last night, due to less than an hour worth of nap at daycare, Leonard slept all the way through the night and never made his usual crying noises in his sleep. We think he's probably just having a reaction to a bad dream, so we hear him crying some. Every time that we've gone in to check on him, he has still been asleep. No tears at drop off or pick up from daycare and none at bedtime tonight either. After two weeks of being at our house, it seems as though the positive effect of a routine has caught up with them.
