The Big Move

We moved on Saturday.  We're only about 5 miles from the old place, but we now have a house with a giant backyard, rather than a townhouse with a mostly cement backyard.

Leonard and Penny stuck it out for the entire day.  They did manage to get in a nap, but they also stayed up about two hours past their normal bedtime.  While they were asleep, The Wife and I unloaded boxes and put the playroom together.  We decided that having two little kids around without any means of entertainment would not be conducive to getting anything done at all.  Gotta have priorities.  Sunday was more unpacking and figuring out where to put all of our things.  We ended up having to choose between the smaller couch and the television for the living room.  As we are not a no television family, the couch was relocated to the garage... which was a pretty large undertaking for the two of us, since couches don't just slide right through doorways.  We finished the living room and the little kids' room last night.  The Wife is working from home today and finishing up some of the other rooms, since Marty and Kate will be over this evening for our monthly meeting.

Hopefully I can get some good pictures of the new rooms and post them later.

Sticker chart update:  Penny has gotten eight stickers in a row for her awesome behavior and attitude.  Leonard is holding strong at three total, I believe.  He was amazing and doing really well all day Saturday and was on his way to a sticker, but then when The Wife said, "Did you listen to us today?", he wouldn't answer.  The answer should have been "yes", but since he didn't use his words to tell us and just stared blankly (and somewhat angrily), that was a "no" to the next question of "did you use your words today?".  At least the stickers are getting through to one of them.  It's amazing how Penny straightens right up if the mention of losing a sticker comes up.  Next weekend, she will get to choose whatever fun activity we may do.
