The Cider Mill

A couple of weekends ago, we took Leonard and Penny to the cider mill that is about thirty minutes from the house.  They had a good time watching the apples being washed and seeing the apple donuts being cooked. After we stood in line for about fifteen minutes, we got some apple cider, apple donuts and a caramel apple, then we sat down to enjoy our apple-y goodness.  After snacks, we walked to the other side of the property and the kids got to play on some hay bales and other family-friendly activities.  One of the tractors from the hayride came around and we jumped on with the kids.  At about the halfway point, they stopped and we got to get off of the ride.  We had the choice of walking over so the kids could go down the giant slide that was down the back of hill in the field or we could wonder by the pumpkin patch that was also nearby.  All in all, we had a good time and the kids really enjoyed the day.

The end of the slide was dirt...
if you couldn't tell

The first time down the slide, Penny lost
control, Leonard needed  a co-pilot
