Marty got his blogname from "Madagascar". We learned early on that he lived in Madagascar for a while, so he got the name from the zebra in the movie.
He's leaving the agency. We found out the other day that he had about two weeks left and then Leonard and Penny would be assigned a new caseworker. We couldn't believe that Marty was leaving. We also can't imagine anyone being able to fully replace him. The kids love him and they look forward to going to his office for the visits with their parents. Obviously, we wish him the best and, from reading other foster blogs, we know this is the kind of thing that happens quite often within the social services field... but that doesn't mean we have to like it.
