Day 4

Well... we made it through the first weekend and all is well.

Today was another big day of playing for Leonard and Penny... oh to be 2 and 3 years old.  We're afraid they're gonna be HUGELY disappointed when they find out that our lives are not a revolving door of kids to play with every day.  Speaking of that, The Kid went back to her mom's house today and as she was leaving, Penny went to the door and yelled, "Come back any time!!!"  Of course she'll be back in less than two weeks to stay for our summer week with her... but I'm sure we'll get to that.

Tomorrow is the first day of daycare for the kids.  Ever.  If the transition to our house is any indication of how it's going to go, we'll be just fine.  But they are kids... so you never know.  Hopefully the selling point of, "hey, you get to go play with kids for the entire day and then I'm going to pick you up" will be a good enough explanation for them.  Updates to come on that one.

Both kids like to say how they don't nap and aren't ever tired, but today, Penny passed out on the couch watching "An American Tail" and Leonard fell asleep in the middle of talking to me about what we were going to buy at the store this evening.  We did get some quality baseball game watching in before he crashed.    We both got to hear how much Penny likes our house and their room here and the toys that we have... so that really reinforced that we've done a good job preparing for the moment.

Only my second blog entry ever... so I will just attach a cute picture of The Kid reading to Leonard and Penny and call it good for the night.
